Mr. Soldat is a co-founder and brings more than 25 years of Power Generation, Electric Utility and Energy Trading experience to Triencon Services.
Greenfield and Retrofit Engineering & Construction
Mr. Soldat was a Project Engineer for the lignite fired Twin Oak SES project. Primary responsibility was system design and engineering. He supervised design development and upgrades incorporating the operating experiences of the existing TXU lignite fleet. He provided direction and design philosophy to outside engineering firms. Mr. Soldat reviewed engineering firm and vendor drawings, negotiated contract changes and administered A/E firm scope changes. He interfaced with plants, fuel companies, technical support groups, vendors, Environmental Services, and state regulatory agencies, among others. Mr. Soldat was responsible for coordinating and managing multi-discipline project team efforts in all project phases including planning, design, procurement and construction package preparation including cost estimates and budget items.
Data Systems Management
Mr. Soldat has extensive development experience in the conception, creation, and development of business and operational data systems. He has an extensive working knowledge in OSI PI Data Systems and data integration services with PI Data Systems, Oracle, and SQL Server Data Warehouses through web interfaces. Mr. Soldat was responsible for managing and implementing the system-wide rollout of PI Data System Historians.
Mr. Soldat’s responsibilities included coordinating and managing unit availability, reliability and operability to meet system needs and goals both short term and long term. He provided current system status to all levels of production management as well as other organizations. He represented the interests of the Production Division with the other divisions. Other responsibilities included seasonal capability planning, production system restoration coordination, Production Emergency Center coordination, and others. Mr. Soldat provided operator/dispatcher training for system restoration activities.
As Manager of Operations Analysis at TXU Energy Trading, Mr. Soldat managed an innovative team responsible for creating near real time decision support tools and long term planning information support. His responsibilities included analyzing and delivering process automation solutions. Successes include: Initiation of a NOx software solution which helped avoid installation of 2 SCRs at a savings of $70 million; Created a nationwide power plant database of historical performance data in excess of 100 million records; Provided information and technical support for merger and acquisition activities including the purchase of a 122 MW facility and sale of over 2200 MW of assets; Provided technical support for ERCOT Polled Settlement meter installations.
Engineering Project Management
Mr. Soldat brings more than 14 years engineering project management experience. As both a project engineer and manager he led with a team that developed systems to support the migration of the Generation Division to the deregulated marketplace. Recent successes include: Project manager for the NOx Compliance Management System including Control system upgrades, accurate boiler heat input measurement systems, plant historian packages and advanced emission control systems; Project manager for the SCADA system upgrades for the Generation Control System; Project manager for system-wide PI system installation;
Power Plant Operations
Mr. Soldat brings more than 10 years of plant operations experience: He was responsible for plant performance analysis and reporting, investigation of operating and maintenance problems for resolution, capital project administration, Heat Rate Operations committee member, equipment overhaul coordination, technical support for equipment repair, budget coordination, capital improvement project administration, vendor and contractor coordination and supervision.

Mr. Soldat is a 1985 graduate of Texas A&M University and a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas.
